Free forever

Your whole family on one live map

Orbit is a family locator for iPhone and Android. Everyone you invite appears on one shared map, with where they are, when they were last seen and how much battery their phone has left.

On iPhone (iOS 16 or later) and Android (8.0 or later).

iPhone and Android on the same map

Apple's Find My only shows iPhones. In Orbit, every phone in the family appears on one map, whichever kind it is. Zoom out and people close together group into one pin.

Battery level next to every name

Each person's row shows their battery in green, amber or red. When a phone drops to 15%, the family gets one low-battery alert, not a stream of them.

Honest when a phone goes quiet

If a phone is switched off, flat or offline, Orbit says where it was last seen and how long ago, instead of showing an old position as if it were live.

Nothing hidden, in either direction

There is no secret parent mode. Your children see you on the map just as you see them, which is why they keep it switched on.

Live family map: common questions

Is Orbit's family map free?
Yes. The live map is free forever for the family organizer and their first child. Adding more people, such as a second parent or another child, needs Orbit Plus.
Can my child see my location too?
Yes. Orbit has no hidden mode. Everyone in the family sees the same map, so your children see you just as you see them.
What happens when a phone dies?
Orbit shows where the phone was last seen and how long ago, so you know you are looking at an old position rather than a live one.
