Orbit Plus

Know when they get there

Save the places your family goes, such as home, school, practice or grandma's, and Orbit tells parents when someone arrives or leaves. No checking the map, and no "text me when you get there".

On iPhone (iOS 16 or later) and Android (8.0 or later).

Draw the place once

Drop a pin on the map, give the place a name and an icon, and set the size of the area, anywhere from 50 to 400 meters across.

Arrivals, departures or both

Turn on alerts for arriving, leaving or both. An alert reads like "Emma arrived at Home", with the time.

Only the alerts you want

Pick whose arrivals count at each place, such as just your youngest at school. Crossings within 90 seconds of each other are ignored, so waiting at the gate doesn't send five alerts.

For parents, never about yourself

Arrival alerts go to the family's parents and guardians. Nobody gets an alert about their own arrival.

Arrival alerts: common questions

Is a saved place the same as a geofence?
Yes. A saved place is a geofence: a circle on the map. When someone's phone crosses its edge, Orbit sends the alert.
Can my child see the places I've saved?
Yes. Saved places show on everyone's map, children's included, and Orbit has no hidden mode. It helps to tell them which places send alerts.
Are arrival alerts free?
Saved places and arrival alerts are part of Orbit Plus. Prices are shown in the App Store and Google Play.
